About Hank

My name is Hank, and I am a corporate lawyer in Malaysia with a primary focus on Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and capital markets. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work closely with companies from various industries as they prepare for one of the most significant milestones in their business journey—becoming a publicly listed company.

Being involved in an IPO is both exciting and challenging. Every transaction requires meticulous planning, collaboration among multiple stakeholders, and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements. As a legal adviser, my role extends beyond ensuring compliance; I help businesses navigate complex legal issues, manage risks, and support them in achieving sustainable growth as they transition into the public market.

Working with ambitious entrepreneurs and growing companies has reinforced my belief that success is built on innovation, resilience, and continuous learning. As businesses evolve in an increasingly digital world, professionals must also embrace new technologies and develop new skills to stay relevant and continue creating value.

Why I Decided to Join the Digital Builder Program

The capital markets landscape is evolving rapidly alongside digital transformation. From artificial intelligence and automation to data-driven decision-making, technology is reshaping how businesses operate, raise capital, and engage with investors. As someone who advises companies on their IPO journey, I believe it is important not only to understand these changes but also to be part of them.

I joined the Digital Builder Program because I want to expand my perspective beyond the legal profession and gain practical knowledge about digital innovation, emerging technologies, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. I see this program as an opportunity to learn how digital solutions can improve efficiency, enhance collaboration, and unlock new possibilities for businesses preparing for growth.

Equally important, I look forward to connecting with participants from different industries. I believe that innovation often happens when people with diverse backgrounds come together to exchange ideas and challenge conventional thinking.

What I Hope to Achieve

Through the Digital Builder Program, I hope to build a stronger understanding of digital technologies and discover practical ways to integrate them into professional services and business advisory work. My goal is to better support companies not only throughout their IPO process but also as they navigate the opportunities and challenges of an increasingly digital economy.

Beyond technical knowledge, I hope to develop a broader innovation mindset—one that encourages experimentation, continuous improvement, and lifelong learning. I also hope to build meaningful relationships with fellow participants, mentors, and industry leaders who share a passion for innovation and value creation.

Ultimately, I aspire to bridge the gap between traditional legal practice and digital transformation. By combining my experience in IPOs and capital markets with new digital capabilities, I hope to contribute to building stronger, more future-ready businesses and play a small part in shaping Malaysia's growing digital economy.

I am excited to begin this journey and look forward to learning, collaborating, and growing alongside everyone in the Digital Builder Program.
